Applying for a State Pension Forecast online – New procedures

The Pension Service has recently announced that some changes to the State Pension forecasting service has been introduced whilst essential updates are being made to their computer systems to reflect important changes in the State Pension rules that are now law.

In particular, women born on or after 6 April 1953 and men born on or after 6 April 1951 can no longer apply for a forecast online.  They can however apply for a ‘State Pension Statement’ by telephone or post.  Care should be taken however to ensure that it is a ‘statement’ that is requested rather than the ‘State Pension Profiler’ which may not include Additional State Pension and Graduated Retirement Benefit entitlements.
